Disclosure of Transfers of value from EFPIA Code of Practice
The European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) has introduced new provisions to the Code of Practice, with the aim to increase transparency on economic transfers of value carried out directly or indirectly to Healthcare Professionals and Organisations for the development and commercialisation of pharmaceuticals for human use subject to medical prescription.
In Italy, these provisions have been implemented by the National Trade Association of Pharmaceutical Companies, Farmindustria.
As pharmaceutical company associated to Farmindustria and in full compliance with the Code of Practice, Laboratori Baldacci S.p.A., since 2016, has been making available on its website each year, within the first six months of the following year, transfers of value related to expenses for the participation at conferences and congresses regarding registration fees, travel and accommodation, expenses for consultancy and professional activities.
