One active ingredient

OCTOSEDAN contains Lidocaine 5%.
A local anesthetic that works by reversibly blocking the conduction of nerve impulses responsible for the perception of pain.
After dermal or mucosal application, the substance is absorbed locally and binds to nerve endings, resulting in a rapid and temporary anesthetic action.
The ointment formulation provides better local absorption, leading to a rapid onset of action, within minutes, and a long duration of action.
How to use OCTOSEDAN

Apply ointment preferably after evacuation.
Initial stage: 2-3 applications per day
Subsequently: 2 applications per day.

Treatment should not be continued for more than 7 days without medical evaluation.

Period of validity after opening: 6 months.
Methods of application

Internal use with applicator
- Screw the applicator onto the tube and remove the end tip

- Gently insert the applicator into the anus. Insertion can be made easier by lubricating the applicator with a small amount of ointment.

- Press the tube: ointment is introduced into the applicator and comes out of the side openings. To distribute the ointment optimally, gently twist the tube.

External use
Apply the amount of ointment according to the skin area and mucous membrane apmplitude to be treated, not exceeding 2.5 g (equivalent to 5 finger tip-units).
Finger tip unit: corresponds to the amount of product on the surface of the first phalanx of the index finger
